The Avantis Crystal Reports Training course is a 5-day, instructor-led class designed to cover a wide range of introductory and intermediate level design and implementation concepts relating to the use of Crystal Reports in conjunction with Avantis.PRO. The course combines lectures, discussions and hands-on labs to supply and reinforce the knowledge necessary to set up the design environment, understand the database fundamentals, use Crystal Reports specific design concepts and tools, understand special functions, formulas and report deployment techniques used in Avantis.PRO and gain an understanding of the data schema of the Avantis.PRO database. The course also provides time for the instructor and students to work on one or more reports of interest to the class from the design stage through to deployment.

Pre-requisites

• Familiarity with the Crystal Reports Designer application
• Familiarity with at least one of the functional areas (Maintenance, Inventory or Procurement) of Avantis.PRO
• Familiarity with basic system administration functions in Avantis.PRO (security profiles, add-ons, categories, etc.)
• An understanding of the specific business reporting requirements for at least one of the functional areas

Audience

• Individuals assigned the responsibility for creating/maintaining custom reports using the Crystal Reports Designer application

Introducing Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) for Avantis.PRO - First Class April 12-15

Our first Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course is the Avantis.PRO Maintenance course on April 12-15. This course was originally scheduled for delivery in Calgary, but will now be hosted as a virtual class only. 

This updated version includes the replacement of the courses previously scheduled for delivery in Calgary with the new VILT offering. VILT courses are open to anyone and offer the following advantages:

1. Participants do not have to travel. This eliminates the travel expense and effort as well as potential passport-related issues. 
2. Participants have the same level of interaction with the instructor during the training as they do in a traditional in-person instructor-led session.
3. Each participant is provided access to the training database environment through a web browser (using SkyTap) thus allowing them to complete the hands-on labs. 
4. Each participant is provided with a link for downloading the course materials, prior to the course.

Registration is completed through an on-line registration site. Each registrant needs to access the Software Training Services web-site and enter the required information. You will not be able to register if the course is full for the available spaces.

3. Click the Details & Availability button for the applicable course to see the course outline, a list of the locations, dates and cost.

Student information. This information is used for Student Records. If you have

previously registered for an Avantis class, follow the 2nd prompt that provides a link to

the login screen.

6. Record the payment information.
