Avantis is able to offer an open, generic asset management suite that has
the potential to link the entire asset base on the railway, delivering a
commercial, rather than a bespoke, solution. Railways traditionally use a lot
of bespoke systems, particularly where signalling is concerned. Avantis can separate
the vital (safety-related) and non-vital elements of assets to allow you to
manage the whole railway much more cost-effectively.
We will be demo-ing both Avantis and Wonderware IntelaTrac products.
Innotrans is the biggest event of its kind in the world. The suppliers
bring in trains and coaches and everything. Fabulous if you are a train
spotter!
